[1583] Badges "Mobile Hero" or "Mobile Initiate" Disappeared From Account

Complete and earn both "Mobile Hero" and "Mobile Initiate" badges.

Start VRChat on Any Platform. Check your own in-game profile and view all badges; one of the two badges has been removed from the account.

This is intended, as the badges are meant to upgrade. Closing this out as not a bug.

I just unlocked the "Mobile Hero" badge, and it looks basically like it upgraded the "Mobile Initiate". I do know my friend had both shown at the same time before though, and the same happened to them as it did to you.
It weirdly enough didn't do the same thing as the gift badge, where it literally upgraded the badge. Instead it removed my "Mobile Initiate" badge and added the "Mobile Hero" badge. I had to manually show the new badge, so it is definitely treated as a separate badge.
This might all still be work-in-progress though, since it isn't fully released and such. Could also be related to the other badge issues, such as gift badges downgrading at random that some users report in #user-support.

Just noticed this too! I lost the "Mobile Initiate" badge but still have "Mobile Hero" currently.

As it is part of A/B Testing, it could be intentional.
