This is a very noticeable bug. I'm not sure if it affects 2.0 avatars, but on some 3.0 avatars, the animations play repeatedly. Trying to set the animation not to transition into itself in the animator does not help. I'm not currently aware of any fix for this.

I know this was closed, but I had forgotten about this canny until recently. After going reading through many peoples' descriptions of the problem, it sounds a lot like what I reported not too long ago. Especially since I am seeing people say it is a random chance whether or not it happens when you swap to the avatar. In particular, Blue Cat's video seems to show the exact issue in my canny.
In my canny post I also have the fix to the issue (at least the issue I found, which seems to be what some people are describing in these replies). Here it is, hopefully someone finds this helpful:

Repeating animations, particle systems and sounds seem to be resolved. However there are still issues where animations may not show up for other people. It has a high chance of occurring. A lot of these reports are made in another canny over here:

The latest update has NOT fixed this! Revert it to how it WAS before for av3.0. NOBODY likes reuploading shit because YOU decided to break something for no good reason.

I'm having a possibly related issue where the animation state machine is continually emitting a sound effect, created in an animation clip, even when the conditions for that transition aren't met.
The attached screenshot shows my FX object with the relevant layer selected.
FlashlightToggle should be 0, as the object isn't visible and that's its default value, but anim_flashlight_turn_off and anim_flashlight_turn_on will still play the sound effect from the audio emitter when I do fingerpoint (GestureLeft 3).
This was working in build < 1004, is still broken (or worse?) in 1005, and I didn't modify my avatar or reupload it.

Having this problem too, specifically with trails triggered by a gesture on an SDK2 avatar, broke on the 27th. Seems like all gestures play on avatar load or something?
Edit: Haven't modified the avatar since 2019, and all varieties of clearing cache/user data/logging out doesn't seem to help. Hoping this gets fixed soon c:

Gestures/animations are also partially broken on SDK2 avatars.
Personally I have seen the following:
An avatar has multiple gestures that adjust the positioning of the avatar's ears, locally they work but for everyone else it appears that all the transforms on the ears are applied all the time.
