Expand Age-Gating to All Instance Types
Salbug
I’d like to propose an expansion of the age-gating feature to include other instance types beyond group instances. Not everyone has access to a group they can host events through, nor do some users typically host 18+ events in group instances; these events are usually held in private instances, such as Invite+. Allowing anyone to create an age-gated instance would potentially better serve the community, especially adults who prefer to interact with others in their general age group without needing to rely on group instances.

Legit request, I see no reason why group-less 18+ publics cannot exist.
Hackebein
ᴋᴀᴡᴀ because you can't moderate. It's not your instance. The world creator owns it for publics
ᴋᴀᴡᴀ
Hackebein why anyone should tho?
World creators rarely act as police in own worlds. Most of the time publics exists on its own without problems. It is basically being self-moderated.
If this works for general (non-adult) audience, why it should not work for adult audience?
Hackebein
ᴋᴀᴡᴀ that's not my point. I don't question human behaviour.
The only thing i say is that public are not owned by you. Therefore it shouldn't have anything you can controll of it. If there is anything, then the world owner should have to choose.

Hackebein yea, I believe world owner should be able to choose if those group-less 18+ publics allowed or disabled in their world.

I think Public should always be 13+ like any public place in the real world. GroupPublic can be moderated/gated and therefore could be 18+.

Hackebein But in the case of if I create the instance and moderate it since im the instance owner, I think it should be an option. Example: Some businesses after hours require 18+ to visit (Round 1 does this, because arcade, but also bar) Still a public place but managed.
Hackebein
FoxSasha you are not the owner of a public instance. the world creator is always the owner of any public instance.

This, while groups are great, being able to host an age-gated instance might actually encourage people to use friends+ or maybe even public if there a gated public instance to just be social with. It heavily comes down to flat out, adults wanna talk to other adults, not always "content" related things.
