Once you verify an account with your ID, that ID can never be used to verify again. Those who spent the $10 on VRC+ to get ID verification are now not only out $10 but don't even get to keep their verification due to account loss. Sure, there are concerns about alt accounts and trolling, but it's punishing a large amount of the player base for a problem they're not involved in.
