I personally think at least half of the community would like to do an age verification by scanning their faces and an AI or a human worker estimate their age, it'll be a backup option if the user doesn't want to show their real life ID due to dissemination of personal information. After completing the age verification using the face scan, the user will have more features than unverified users, but will have less features than the verified users that verified their age by an ID.
