Edit Avatar says: "Recommended resolution: 1920x1080px. Maximum file size: 1MB." As far as I know, only a maximum resolution of 2048x2048 may be enforced.
  1. Have an uploaded avatar on your account.
  2. Go to VRChat Home website to the avatar page.
  3. Click the pencil icon next to the avatar name for "Edit Avatar".
  4. Navigate to "Gallery".
  5. Upload a gallery photo > 1 MB in file size.
Expected behavior: The photo exceeding max file size (> 1 MB) upload is rejected before the upload starts (valid file sizes should receive a HTTP 100 Continue), or the uploaded photo is rejected retroactively after upload for exceeding file size, or the maximum file size stated should be "10MB" instead of "1MB".
Actual behavior: Uploading the photo exceeding the stated maximum file size (> 1 MB) succeeds.
A video is attached. Please ignore the HTTP 403 Forbidden response for the uploaded gallery photos in the video, it's a separate issue that also affects gallery photos < 1 MB (for example, a 1080x860 photo of 487 KB) - tracked separately in support ticket #693577.
