Desktop IK jitter on all local avatars with PhysBones.
Domix256PL
Small jitter occurs in Desktop Mode with IK 2.0 on all local avatars that have PhysBones. Even at high FPS (~180–200), slight fluctuations in limb movement and PhysBones physics are visible. Micro-jitter intensifies during dynamic movements such as jumping and fast turning. Reducing PhysBones does not fully remove the effect.
This occurs consistently across all tested local avatars, regardless of their complexity or size. The problem affects both upper and lower limbs, as well as torsion and PhysBones-driven objects such as breasts or hair. Other dynamic Phybones-driven parts pf the avatar are also effected.
Hardware details are available in the attached logs. I can provide a video demonstration upon request.
Observations:
- Jitter intensifies during fast or dynamic movements.
- Reducing PhysBones count or damping has minor effect.
- High FPS reduces visible jitter but does not eliminate micro-movements.
- Problem occurs on all local avatars, regardless of mesh complexity.
- Launch VRChat in Desktop Mode.
- Load any local avatar with PhysBones.
- Perform dynamic movements:
- Jump and turn simultaneously
- Move arms and head in various directions
- Observe micro-jitter in limbs, torsion, and PhysBones.
