[11748] Freezing/Locking IK "Feature"
ZenithVal
As of the most recent IK Beta, your tracking type will auto swap to accommodate your tracking setup.
On Legacy when a tracker turns off, it'll freeze the IK point in it's current place. This function (which is probably just a side effect of the old IK solution) was very useful when purposefully used.
If you're going to be immobile for a while but don't want to use 3 PT, this is a very useful feature! E.g. Watching a movie while laying down; you're not going to be moving much at all so being able to lock that pose and not be forced into 3pt is very comfortable.

I myself remove the HMD and tracker before going to bed, so it would be great if you could provide this tracker freeze function.
Being able to freeze the tracker would make it easier to do the following
First, when I put on the bedtime pose, I fix the tracker, then I put the HMD (I use Quest2) to sleep and remove the tracker.
In the morning, you can put the tracker back on and still maintain your sleeping pose in the meantime.

Something of addition that might want to be noted is that opening the full settings/social/ect menu makes it so the frozen lower body doesn't rotate with the head. I usually playspace move down, open the menu way below me, then move back up so it's out of the way.
It'd be nice to have a proper way to toggle that rotation freeze in case the menu system ever changes.

ZenithVal: You can disable locomotion with SDK3 Avatars. It works similarly to how the menu lock works.

NotAKidoS: Nice! I'll make a toggle for that.

Major +1 on this. We've had the ability to freeze trackers in KinectToVR since January, and people with Vive trackers are jealous of the feature. It's something I can't live without myself. I hope everyone can get it.

Recent IK Beta seems to of changed some functionality that affected legacy too. The locking doesn't work there anymore. When a tracker turns off, it's IK point merges with another random tracker and then locks.
*Edit~ It works still! As long as the tracker you turn off first is the one that was turned on and connected to SteamVR LAST.
