[11711] Add an option to revert scale factor to previous "non-legacy" value
complete

In the previous IK 2.0 beta, a new scale factor was used when in "measure by arm-span" mode. This new scale factor made a few avatars feel a bit off. But for a lot of us with somewhat un-proportional rigs or avatars with heels, it provided the best IK we've had in forever. It felt great to use and made it so we didn't have to do weird workarounds with playspace mover and the height setting. The new "measure by height" option didn't work for our avatars and made them feel like t-rexes. The two modes accommodated different avatars and usually one of the modes would work.
With the "scale by arm-span" scale factor being changed back, it makes those avatars (heeled and somewhat un-proportional ones) feel pretty bad. We now suddenly can't properly kneel or do poses relying on the back. Every time we want to bind in, we have to mess around with playspace mover/height adjustment to get it right. That gets really annoying to do after a while.
I believe a toggle between the two scale factors would be best and would allow more avatars to be close to "perfect" with the new IK. A more complicated setting to just allow us to adjust the scale factor value directly would also be nice, but it would require more dev time.
Just please let us change it. I don't want to go back to needing to use an external program (playspace mover) just to replicate what was already a thing in a previous build.

Just to add to this. The new scale was so much better for creating properly proportioned avatars. Legacy was a heaps of work arounds and crap.

having the option would be amazing, it felt fantastic in some of my avatars

Just as an addendum to the post, here's some thoughts about it that I previously posted in the discord in response to a question about use cases:
The other use case besides heels I've been seeing is that it was a nice middle ground between legacy arm span and height based for just generally less proportional avatars.
Legacy arm-span just feels like it let's avatars be as un-proportional as they want. Arms may be accurate, but the feet aren't close at all and you aren't even close to the ground.
But height based scaling was just the other wild end of the spectrum. It would make arms feel as short as they possibly could just so feet would match. This worked well for some avatars, but just really didn't for others.
The beta arm span was just a nice middle ground between those options. Arms were a bit shorter but nothing unreasonable. And the feet got close enough to allow for rotation while still keeping the arms sane.
Some avatars just feel like they have to pick between two extremes right now. Either let your arms or let your legs be horrible. And it's frustrating when we already had a good middle ground before. It honestly feels like the beta arm span could fit as a third scaling method alongside the other two with just the middle ground use-case it provides that the others dont. Though, right now, I don't have a real idea for what kind of icon or name it could even have.

Yeah, please give us the option. things were perfect before the change with both 3 and 10 point.

The new scaling made my main avatar suddently work perfect I could stretch my arms entirely and everything felt really in place and natural. I would love to see it not disappear !

camilla May: Yes the same with me.

The new scaling was perfect, I could use my IRL height with my avatar that uses my real proportions. Going back is terrible. I'd like to know the details but ti seems the old is wrong and the new correct.

The new scale factor was just overall better for so many of my avatars.
