  1. Open VRC (With mic disconnected / disabled)
  2. Connect / enable mic
  3. Expect mic to be available immediately/ set as default if windows sets the device as default on connect
Hot plugging a mic requires selecting a different mic, or switching worlds, where as in the live/ non U6, the mic is immediately detected and switched to active if you have 'default' selected and the mic is flipped to 'Default' in windows upon connecting.
I have also experienced the mic sometimes

detected, but does not function until I again select a different mic and switch back, or switch instances.
