Double-clicking on an avatar in the full avatar menu should apply the avatar rather than go into its stats, because it's a much more convenient use of it. There's zero reason to need access to your own avatar's stats quickly, if you really care you can click across on the stats button.

Being able to quickly apply an avatar and go would be much more useful.
