I wish there were options to change the settings of these with 1 click, instead of needing to change the sliders and checkboxes every time you want different settings.
## Earmuffs
Sometimes you get in a very busy world with lots of people but not the room for them to spread out. Or the people are loud and drunk. Like in some clubs, events, and drinking worlds. In cases like this I want to reduce the size to small, as most people you will be talking & listening to are very close anyway.
But then in other cases where people are calmer and there is more room, I want my range to be larger. Not disabling Earmuffs as many worlds have a very large drop off range, which I don’t like.
## Hide Avatar by Distance
Similar here, in some worlds very bad avatars, so I want to reduce the amount of showen avatars (and maybe even the range).
But then in other worlds people have very optimized avatars, so I can show more of them without losing much fps.
Or worlds are large and people tend to stand far apart.
### Dynamic
But what if this happens automatically, based on FPS or so. The system will try to find the balance between showing many avatars and FPS. I remember playing a game then when your frames drop to low a set fps it will auto enable a “degraded mode”, this will disable all fancy grafic things until your FPS has been above a set amount for a set time.
#### Earmuffs
I guess you could attempt the same for Earmuffs but I don’t really know how you would do that. Based on the amount of people in your range?
#### Menu Issue
The problem annoying me while using Hide Avatar by Distance is that the scroll position doesn’t get remembered (in Quick Menu -> Settings). As I change settings, close Quick Menu, see if the settings are good, open Quick Menu, need to scroll back to Hide Avatar by Distance, repeat.

#### Performance
##### Downloading & loading avatars
[1222] Hide Avatar by Distance slows other things down when it shouldn’t.
##### General
On the topic of performance, I think that Hide Avatar by Distance is a work around for a problem. It’s better here not but it doesn’t fix the overall problem.
