First of all, amazing beta so far. The UI and especially the camera have blown me away, I'm extremely happy with the changes so far. One thing I would like to see with the camera is the ability to auto rotate the images taken depending on the orientation. I personally don't care if it's done using EXIF data or actually have the image be rotated permanently, either options would be a nice to have imo.

Are there any updates on this? It is an extremely simple implementation and shouldnt be taking nearly a full year since being tracked to be implemented

When saving the photo, it would be very handy to automatically rotate the photo to deal with e.g. portrait or upside-down photos. I would suggest using the camera _display_ orientation rather than the lens for this, as this would provide a clearer preview of how the file will be saved.
