[Feature Request] Mac/Linux version of VCC
available in future release
kurotu
Currently VCC supports Windows only. But some Quest players may have only Mac or Linux PC instead of Windows PC. They can upload contents by VRCSDK and some stuffs, but they will not able to take advantage of VCC. So I think VCC/VPM should be cross platform apps.
VCC/VPM base stacks are Unity and .NET 6, so it looks that making cross platform is easier than native stacks. (Sure, I actually know making cross platform apps is not easy. But they will need VCC.)

Multiplatform Creator Companion
Hiro Rokun
Creator Companion is Windows only. Many Quest users do not use Windows and create their content on Linux or Mac, which has worked perfectly fine to this day, SDK and everything. Creator Companion distribution artificially bars them from properly creating avatars and worlds for VRChat.
Please consider utilizing a multiplatform framework for the Creator Companion, so as not to exclude enthusiastic creators in our community who may have been building avatars and worlds for years previously unimpeded.

Or continue to provide direct SDK downloads via some means, for those unable to use the companion if it remains Windows only.

Some basic Mac functionality is available now, documented at https://vcc.docs.vrchat.com/vpm/cli/#mac-and-linux-support
Still TBD whether we'll develop a full GUI version for non-Windows platforms - we're definitely going to focus on core bugs and usability issues for the majority of our users first (who use Windows).

Momo the Monster: Thank you for considering this! Sure, I agree to focusing on core features.
