[1046] Social Menu not being kept up to date

Social menu is currently way out of sync from the API (desync from API seems way worse now than ever before after the most recent update) showing some users in the wrong worlds, avatars, statuses not properly updated, showing as offline when online, etc... Photo of drop down list of online VIP friends is what it should look like. Output logs provided below.
EDIT: Should've also mentioned the friend's list won't update at all until the client is restarted.

I found that there are two different variations of this bug. One is more common, where socials (players' locations, status, and thumbnail) continue updating but at an irregular rate, and sometimes only updating individual players when triggered manually by clicking through to their page.
The other is more severe, where at some point socials will stop updating entirely and invites are no longer received in game. Socials and invites remain broken until restarting the game, which also requires logging in again. In this case it is related to this IPv6 issue and can be worked around with some of the solutions discussed here: https://feedback.vrchat.com/bug-reports/p/restart-to-receive-invites

Friends Favorites lists specifically has not been updating itself, stopping in place shortly after login and doesn't update again until I restart the game. It has its good days and bad days, today it didn't update so much as once after I got on, and I restarted the game several times with the same results each time. There's other days where it'll work for a few hours before it stops, but it rarely works indefinitely for some reason. This is in addition/separate from the friends list bug in general since often times (such as today) the overall friends list works fine even when favorites do not.

StormRel: Right now a sort of similar issue is going on where outdated information is showing for some people in the social menu that doesn't get updated until you view their profile in the main menu.
For instance, I had one friend the other night that was showing up as orange in the quick menu friend's wing, but when I brought them up in the main menu, their status
immediately
changed to green and showed them as being in an open lobby. This happens with multiple friends.StormRel

StormRel: still happens… even more extreme nowadays that the API reports the social tab changes but the game doesn’t, same for invites

Same here! Something similar has been going on since March for me. I think I already sent in a ticket a month or two ago.

This was exacerbated in VRChat 2021.3.2 (build 1121).

Friendslist no longer updates for me, as soon as I've opened it once, that's all I get. Have to restart in order to see updated list.
