Unexpected lose of smooth finger movement when using Valve Index controller emulation on Quest controllers after 2.0 update
lady-bug
TL;DR: Index finger curle is too aggressive when simple capacitive contact is made with the trigger.
So previous to the VRChat IK 2.0 update, when I contacted my finger on the index trigger (only capacitive contact) it would only move my VR finger a few cm, and as I depresesd the index trigger (mechanical movement of the trigger) it would smoothly close my VR finger into a fist. But since the update, when only making capacitive contact with the trigger, my VR finger will curle aggressively and jump to almost totally closed, basically I lose all that fine motor movement that I could control before. It's very jarring and immersion breaking and not the way it functioned previous to the update. And turning on or off the legacy fingers makes no difference.
I don't have any video of how it worked before, but I've made a video of how it's working now: https://youtu.be/oaDvZURCgNo
The middle finger trigger still works as intended, moving all the other 3 fingers smoothly from open to closed.
My setup: Virtual desktop, with Valve Index Controller emulation enabled. Hardware is Quest Pro and Quest 3 controllers.
Anyone else experience this?
Thank you <3
