Elbow behavior while hand is near or on the shoulder

I noticed if you put your controller near or on your shoulder, that the elbow starts to switch positions aggressively with the smallest bit of motion from the rest of the body. This happened with the same behavior on two different body bases, which lets me assume, it is a general issue with the beta IK.

Hight avatar scale and head-lock.
(need to test it tomorrow if it also happens in on the other settings and will make a video about it)

...Another video, this time 3 minutes of me triggering on purpose this bug which has been happening already for longer that it should:
Kung once mentioned it was happening mostly because its hard for the IK to predict my hand pointing forward right there, but is not just pointing one direction, just check the video and you'll see, and my specially complain about when i'm laying down and i place both of my hands above my shoulders which i've been always doing.
So to sum up, apparently it's linked with the chest/hip rotation, depending on their position then your elbow are going to go crazy.

Laxy: I know it's bad to mention it but I can't help notice how much it's bothering you right now and I understand the frustration. Honestly try tweaks and turn off elbow chest avoidance, it should stop or atleast help with the issue you are highlighting in the interim. We'll just have to wait, Kung is aware which is great. Don't hurt me Kung ><' I wont say another peep.

I just can't have my hand around my shoulder when laying down and slightly on my side, at this point im starting to believe i'm the only one with this issue, although i've tried with lots of different random public avatars and it happens with all of them, so i don't know anymore if it's vrc, if it's my index tracking, dunno.
About the elbow chest avoidance, im not sure how to.. turn it off?
And yes thanks god we have Kung working hard on everything

Salbug: perhaps they should give us an option to turn off the elbow chest avoidance then?

Rakㅤ: A lot of people would never understand why they should add that option, but that actually would fix the issue, they just marked it as in progress so we'll see what they do, but its a good idea, because the elbow was not freaking out before the ik 2.0

Im finding this is the case with every avatar I try, some worse than others. First image is legacy, second is the new IK. Elbows flare out backwards, it makes dancing awkard to say the least. I'm not sure what else to add to make the post more detailed. I really hope this is something being looked at, at this point I am unwilling to move away from legacy.

I made a feedback post but I guess it's already noted here - elbows either flare out way behind shoulder or they aggressively spaz out. With tweaks you can turn off elbow chest avoidance to stop the spazzing but the elbow flare still presists. Happens with every avatar I try even the vrchat defaults, not one works properly when comparing to legacy ik. For me personally it makes the new ik worse for general use than legacy, but I tend to like to dance in VR, a lot of people probably havent clocked how bad it really is. I can't believe they officially released ik2.0 without fixing this... they didn't even mark this canny so i doubt they will work on this

Salbug: Ty Sal, it's just something that wasn't happening in the legacy ik, and now it's extremely bothering me in a daily basis since a long time ago specially when laying down slightly on my side D:<

Laxy: To be fair, for my personal avatar, it really isn't much of an issue unless I'm laying down as well. When I'm standing up, I have to have my hand-wrist-arm at like an uncomfortable angle to get it to mess up like in your video. They'll try their best, but assumedly IK prediction can only work so far.

Salbug: In my case it's a bother because i have long hair so i keep doing that wrist movement above my shoulder of pulling away my hair, constantly, and you know that i also stream so everyone can see it haha, but then the other issue is when i'm laying down which also make the elbow go crazy in other ways

Really wish there was just a way to turn off the elbow clipping avoidance. More often than not it just puts my elbow in weird positions.
