Open VRC (With mic disconnected / disabled) Connect / enable mic Expect mic to be available immediately/ set as default if windows sets the device as default on connect Hot plugging a mic requires selecting a different mic, or switching worlds, where as in the live/ non U6, the mic is immediately detected and switched to active if you have 'default' selected and the mic is flipped to 'Default' in windows upon connecting. I have also experienced the mic sometimes IS detected, but does not function until I again select a different mic and switch back, or switch instances.

In short, we need a way to tell whether interactions are allowed without having to actually try interacting with someone. The Avatar Interaction Disabled icon was removed from nameplates, but we really need it back. I think the value of having an interaction icon is that you can know whether two avatars can interact without having to physically touch the other person to check. Compared to the potential harassment caused by displaying an “interactions not allowed” icon, I think having to touch someone just to confirm their interaction status would be much more awkward. This is especially true for hosts running interactive games, as checking the interaction icons would be much easier than confirming each player individually.

One important feature that was lost is the ability to see the order of recently seen people regardless of whether they are friends or not. The previous UI allowed me to find people based on their avatars or other people I remember seeing, regardless of whether they were friends or non-friends. In my personal opinion, the previous UI in build 1881, where it was indistinguishable whether a user was a friend or not, was better than the current separated lists. People may have different opinions on this, though. I think it would be better to add a friend icon to each user, similar to the user search results page, instead of separating friends and non-friends into different lists.

You can see you have a certain number of friends in the world, and it shows their icons, but viewing the world details for the same instance only shows a generic friend icon. Why does the world details page not have the same little UI widget showing the user icons of my friends who are in this world? Also, the region icon has a really strange location off to the right with far too large spacing. See the mock-up below for a revision of the world details page to have proper parity with the new profile page UI for instances.

In the big menu, when I click on a friend that's on orange in my wing menu, then click on someone that's on blue/green it shows the world they're in as "World Name" as well as every other subsequent blue/green status profile I click on (in the wing menu) until I close and reopen my menu.

This change really doesn't make any sense, what is the difference between public and private thumbnails? Both types of avatars still get loaded within the same instance either way, same with loading the preview on the detail page. Not to mention that the avatar thumbnail is still shown via the QM. There is no reason why this change should exist.

Everyone has agreed that moving the status icon over the top of the user icon on the nameplates was a good change, but in the UI everywhere, this change has not been made. It should be placed in a consistent position for better readability across all UI elements. Attached below is a mock-up comparison, and making the status icons overlap the user icons looks a LOT better.

In beta 1884 or the Unity 6 beta, when a disconnection of any kind occurs: "VRChat is not responding" "VRChat is timeout" "VRChat is disconected", etc. When attempting to reconnect the session, it gets stuck on an infinite "Connecting" screen. Consequently, you must completely restart VRChat, reopen it, and rejoin the instance you were in. It doesn't happen in the live version.
